There has been a great development in treating skin diseases. However, such diseases are still common in many rural populations in developing countries with serious economic and social consequences as well as having health effects, directly or indirectly. Skin diseases are responsible for much of the disability (loss of economic capacity). Disfigurement and distress caused by symptoms such as itching or pain. The diseases covered in this book are probably the most common, although some life-threatening disorders such as pemphigus are rare, and they are briefly discussed. The aim is to provide basic information necessary to treat skin diseases in the community, with a special focus on these diseases prevalent in developing countries. This book does not attempt to provide a detailed guide to treating skin diseases
